The lakes are connected by a man-made canal system. Paddling in this way will take you on the same route as the Native Americans that once traveled and lived lakeside.

Lake Shelby connects with Little Lake and Middle Lake inviting visitors to swim, fish, boat, or paddle, and we have everything you need including, paddleboards, canoes, and kayak rentals.

• All kayak rentals will pay upfront, along with a mandatory kayak rental waiver.

• All kayak life jackets and paddles are provided.

• Respectfully, we DO NOT take reservations. We rent on a first come first serve basis.

You have the option to take your kayak rental anywhere you like within the connecting lakes off Lake Shelby until your rental time expires. Take your kayak rental anywhere you choose as long as you’re back before 4 pm closing time. All kayak rentals are available from 8 am to 4 pm daily.
